Who Odoo fits
We work with businesses of 50 or more employees and groups with several legal entities. Our largest published project has more than 200 Odoo users. Clients often come to us from Dynamics, Sage, Lexware, Xentral, weclapp or extensive spreadsheets. They share a common task: bringing together sales, inventory and accounting data that is currently reconciled by hand.
We do not currently have a published SAP replacement reference. The migration check establishes whether Odoo is suitable for your plans.
Several legal entities and countries
Several legal entities can share an Odoo database while keeping their accounting, documents and tax rules separate. This is part of the standard software.
- Intercompany: When one company orders from another, Odoo creates the sales order and the invoice in the other company. You set the rules per company. According to the Odoo 20 release notes, intercompany resupply is added.
- Consolidation: The consolidation app in Odoo 18 and 19 combines the accounts of the companies, including in different currencies.
- Multi-currency: Documents in foreign currency, rates per date and the posting of exchange differences are standard.
- Localisations: For Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Spain Odoo ships the chart of accounts, tax rates and tax reports of each country. In France, Odoo is registered as a Plateforme Agréée for e-invoicing.
Rauschenberger uses one database for seven entities in Germany and Spain. It handles German and Spanish accounting, including 7 and 19 percent VAT and 10 percent IVA for Mallorca. Calendrcar uses Odoo in Switzerland and France.
Management has a common system and reporting structure for the group. Finance handles intercompany invoices and consolidation directly in Odoo. IT can manage permissions and version upgrades for all entities through one database.
What we check before you decide
Before quoting, we check each step of your process against standard Odoo. The specification records which requirements are already covered and where development is needed. We base the fixed-price quote on that document.
An existing requirements document gives us a useful starting point. Alternatively, describe on one page how an order moves from enquiry to posting and where data is transferred manually.
Who looks after your project
